Community talks about indoor air matters next week

Hi everyone!

Next week, I’ll be speaking at two engagements across town about indoor air pollutants and answering questions on how to keep yourself safe and healthy.  If you’re able to make either of these, I’d love to meet you!

1.  FamilyGuru: Myths and Facts about Environmental Safety at Play, School, Work, and at Home.

Time: Tuesday Nov 15, 9:45am-12:00pm

Location: Bella Napoli, Lane 946 Changle Rd, Near Ulumuqi Rd. Tel:6248 8985.

The recent discovery of the lead poisoning of over 30 children in Pudong has thrust environmental safety onto headline news and has concerned parents demanding answers.  During this talk, indoor environmentalist Louie Cheng will discuss environmental health in Shanghai:  What are the most common hazards in Shanghai? What does it do to our bodies? What are their sources?  How can we protect ourselves and our children?  He will also field general questions about the quality of indoor air and drinking water.  Louie is the founder of PureLiving (www.purelivingchina.com), an indoor environmental quality testing and consulting firm. RMB 120, including drink and two course take away or sit down lunch. To RSVP please click or copy and paste this link into your browser http://20111115.invite43.com/.

She will cover symptoms to look out for, tests, and at what point to seek medical assistance. In addition, Louie Cheng from PureLiving China will be on hand to answer questions about sources of pollution and practical solutions to the unique challenges living in Shanghai with small children can present in terms of health.  Cost: 80RMB including breakfast
